Starting at a resolution of 1024 x 768.Reinstalling Microsoft C++ Redist for 20.I tried moving the Electronic Arts folder to the local %appdata% but it seems to not recognize it there.The Electronic Arts folder appears in my Documents folder on my C: drive instead of local %appdata%.Edit: Nevermind, only the settings file in my local appdata is recognized.I have noticed a change in resolution on the black screen and loading cursor when I try to boot Dead Space 1, so I think my settings file in my Documents folder is being recognized.Adding a settings.txt file with the appropriate settings.I have an i5-8400 (so nothing with <10 cores) and a GTX 1080 on the latest drivers.
When I press play on steam for either Dead Space 1 or 2, I see a black screen and a loading cursor for a few seconds - some times longer than others, and then the application closes.
I've been searching from steam forums and reddit posts for a fix to get Dead Space workin.
